AI Usage (the "App", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Cursor usage tracking app on Apple devices.

1. Information We Collect

The App is designed to keep data local and minimal:

  • Cursor Cookie: You provide a Cursor cookie so the App can request usage data from Cursor's endpoints. We store it locally in the Keychain and mirror a copy in the App Group so the widget can read it on device.
  • Usage Snapshots: The App caches usage snapshots, billing analysis results, and related metadata on your device to support quick viewing and widget refreshes.
  • Diagnostics: Error messages may be shown locally to help you understand a failed refresh. We do not build advertising profiles or sell personal data.

2. How We Use Information

Any information processed by the App is used only to:

  • Fetch and display Cursor usage information
  • Generate billing cycle analysis and model ranking views
  • Keep the widget and menu bar views up to date on your devices
  • Help diagnose local sync or refresh issues

3. Storage and Security

We keep your data on device whenever possible:

  • Local Storage: Cookie data is stored in the Keychain; cached snapshots are written locally.
  • App Group Mirroring: A mirrored cookie and shared snapshot are used so the widget can refresh without sending data to our servers.
  • No Cloud Backend: We do not maintain our own cloud service for storing your usage history.

4. Third-Party Services

The App communicates with Cursor's services to fetch the usage data tied to your own account. System services such as Keychain, WidgetKit, and App Group storage are also used. We do not include third-party advertising SDKs.

5. Your Choices

You can control the App's local data at any time:

  • Clear the saved cookie in Settings
  • Uninstall the App to remove local data from your devices
  • Stop using the widget or menu bar features if you no longer want background refreshes

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in this document, and the date below will be updated accordingly.
